H1Z1 and Twitch Streaming!

Its been a long time since I’ve posted anything on this blog site. And a lot has happen in the months that have passed. I hope everyone is doing well and i look forward to reading your wonderful stories!

Recently I have been getting back into video gaming. I thoroughly enjoy being able chat with others from across the globe. I find that being able to play video games with others does two wonderful things for me. One, it is a huge stress relief from work (which is working retail) and two, I get to talk with people from different lifestyles.

I bring this subject up mainly because the social aspect of gaming has grown dramatically. This current generation of console have somewhat forced games to be run online. This reflects the increase in the gamer population. America’s entertainment software industry provides gaming needs to tons of gamers across the U.S. . According to their statistics U.S. computer and video game software sales grew 22.9 percent in 2008 to $11.7 billion – more than quadrupling industry software sales since 1996.” This shows back to 2008, and only in the U.S.!

Imagine what growth has happened in the past 7 years! So I am thrilled to be part of this wonderful gaming community. Recently I have started getting into video game streaming. Twitch is the largest game streaming site available. One can view professional gaming events from the comfort of their home, or share their personal experiences with hundreds if not thousands online.

I have only done it for a few days but I absolutely love every minute of it. If you would like to see my playthroughs and live content please fell free to join me! You’ll be able to follow me at Twitch name

Viewer Appreciation: Serial Princess

So after reaching my first 100 followers (which I am ecstatic about) I thought I would give a little shout out to those of you who made this goal a possibility!

With that being said, I plan on show casing one of my first followers, Serial Princess (aka Ayumi).

Serial Princess is a Blogger who writes about the hottest tech, fiercest sports, sleekest rides, and freshest recipes?

Yes, I said recipes. And damn, they are super scrumptious (looking)! Serial Princess brings a tomboy’s perspective on today’s cultural icons, products, and news. Princess balances her in-depth reviews with detail recipe instructions as well!

Recently she has begun to write product reviews for The Roosevelts,”Founded in 2012 to provide readers and brands we love a highbrow adventure for the brain featuring content that inspires, educates and entertains.“.

Please check out both Serial Princess at serialprincess.wordpress.com and here articles at the rsvlts.com

Mountain Design Logo!

I just got back from a restful weekend up in Estes Park. We had some of the best snow this season, which made for a truly epic snowshoe hike! I am exhausted from all the weekends activities, but mentally restored.

I have some raw photos that must be edited and stories to tell of my weekends adventure. But for this post I must share a design that I put together this afternoon.

Enjoy!

Thanks again for your continued support!

Happy Saint Patty’s DAY: DAILY DESIGN CHALLENGE

Todays word was EIRE, thanks to the folk at Dictionary.com

So I spent all day thinking up a concept for this word, and let me tell ya this one was a doozy.

So I found out that EIRE means:the Irish name of Ireland.

And with the current holiday (many of us went out drinking to celebrate) I figured making a Irish Brew Pub Logo would fit this word to a “T”.

I threw in some iconic Irish symbols and wham, bam, here is the final concept!

EIRE-ABBEY

Let me know what you think! Im always looking to improve these designs as I am currently interning for a marketing/design company!

Fell free to join in the fun! Post and Share your designs!

It has been way to long since I have posted any photos so here is a photo I took while I was filming for a friends wedding!

Had this awesome opportunity due to in-climate weather (overcast and rainy) which was perfect for photos like this, but a bummer for a wedding.

And let me tell you doing video for weddings is a nightmare, from the start to finish I couldn’t catch a breather.

If you are ever considering making a film for a friends wedding, or professionally, consider how much work its going to take.

It surprised me, I’m still having to deal with processing issues months after the video was finally edited.

However I still had a blast doing so, and helped me learn how to work with people effectively.

Managing four individual cameras was crazy but awesome, and overall the couple was happy with my work!

So if I had further filming opportunities, I would first strongly consider the work load, plan for the event, and take it by the horns and hold on tight!

Daily Design Challenge!

Daily Design Challenge!

So I wanted to practice working on design in Adobe Illustrator, for both personal and professional! So I looked up the word of the day at Dictionary.com and came up with a design based on that word. And the lucky word was… drumroll please!
Phenom!

I came up with this concept for a after school tutor program. Hopefully that came through!

I challenge you to come up with a design based on this word as well!

Sad day…

Sad day...

Have you ever lost something dear to you? Something that you may have worked on for days? Weeks? Months? Or even years?
Well its sad to say that last week I lost my sketchbook…
I was completely bummed out when I realized in horror that my personal art journal had disappeared. Plus, there is no hope in recovering it, due to the lack of contact information.
It is a hard lesson, however it has allowed me to start fresh with a new journal. One that I will make sure to finish, and hold onto.
